"Now what are we doing?" You ask. It has been hours since you'd left the valley, and you still weren't sure where you were going.

"We're finding another place to live. Xegony and Quellious can take care of themselves now. I'd like to try my hand at this again..."

"You want another dragon?" you ask.

"Call me crazy but yes." Yajuu replies.

"Ok, you're crazy." Yajuu laughs.

"Admit it, you think it's not such a bad idea."

"What makes you think I think that?"

"Well, you're still here..." you blink.

"I am aren't I?" you say with a chuckle. "So...another dragon? Well, it does sound...not boring." Yajuu laughs.

"I'll head over to the Keltic Isle, and if they don't have any I'll go for the Rose Caverns and ask around there."

"That's great." you say. "Tell me again why we're moving though?"

"Dragons have huge territories; I need to give Xegony her space."

"Ah." you say nodding. "But we've been walking for hours now."

"Don't worry we're almost there." Yajuu says cheerfully.

"Almost where? You mean you've been here before?"

"Once with Xegony. She and I discussed it in great detail. We agreed on this place here." Yajuu said stopping. You stop beside her looking around. You're in a field of wild flowers looking at a very big mountain.

"Why here?" you ask.

"At the base of the mountain is a huge cave. Big enough for Xegony herself. It's heated by an underground hot springs. There are all sorts of caves to explore. That way I can stay in one place and the dragon can move around. Also it may seem far to you, but Xegony thinks its right next door. She says this way we're not crowding her, and she can visit and be like an Aunt tot he dragon." Yajuu explains as you walk up towards the mountains

"That's perfect..." you say.

"The fact that it's even farther away from civilization helps as well." You nod.

"Yeah, I guess it does. So when are you gonna head out?"

"As soon as we find the cave, and settle into it...Xegony and I found one we just need to find it again." She says scanning the area. "Mmm, Ah ha! There it is!" She says pointing towards the base of the mountain. You see a large cave opening, with stalactites and stalagmites all over it, making it look like an evil foreboding mouth.

"Creepy." You say as the both of you walk towards it.

"It's nice and warm in there though. Perfect on cold nights and even better for a baby dragon. Come on, the sooner we settle in the sooner I can head out."

"Anyone ever tell you how single minded you are?" you joke as you follow.

Yajuu smiles and leads you into the cave. You look around. It seems pretty dark except in a few places. Odd though. The light is coming from deeper inside the cave. How could that be?

Yajuu smiles and looks at you. "You know why I like this cave so much?" she asks. You shrug. "Follow me." she says walking to where the lights are coming from. You followas ordered, and then you see it.

There's only a bit of light coming from the ceiling, but it's cascading down on the wall which has several crystal formations on it. As you look around you notice more and more of the beautiful rocks projecting out of the walls. The crystals are reflecting the light and bouncing around all the colors of the spectrum to each other. All the other crystals are then bouncing the light reflected to them.

"Awesome..." you breathe as you look around again. Yajuu smiles.

"Here's were I've decided to make the nest." she announces.

"Here?" You ask. She nods.

"The ground is very level here. And this room is very very big. It could hold Xegony even as she is now!" Yajuu says as she begins putting several packs down.

"I suppose that's good."

"You know what else?"

"What?"

"Well the last time I came in here with Xegony we could've swore we saw little pixie's flittering around. I also saw a strange creature that looks like a cross between a butterfly and a drake....I think they're called Fae Drakes...I find the deeper I go into the wild lands the more amazing creatures I see. I've seen Unicorns and Emerald Drakes as well."

"Wow...you've actually seen a unicorn?" Yajuu Nodded.

"It's the perfect place to raise a dragon." Yajuu said, standing again and stretching. "I guess I'd better gear up and go."

"Where're you off to now?"

"To get a Chesmu egg of course." She said smiling. "We have to have a companion for our little dragon."

"Ah, you have a point."

"So~o" Yajuu said in a sing song voice, "I'm leaving you with the job of making the nest!"

"Huh?" Yajuu smiles as she arranges her pack.

"It's not like it's a hard job that you're unprepared for. You've seen the size of Xegony's last nest, and you know what goes into it. So, just put together the stuff carefully and it'll be fine." she said as she slung the back pack over her shoulder. "I'll be back in a day or two."

"Right...I'll...start on the nest I guess."

You sigh as you watch the sun set. It'd be a day and a half since Yajuu had left. The nest was assembled and everything was ready for the new little Chesmu. In the mean time you'd seen a few of the things Yajuu had talked about.

The first was a pixie. She had been just outside the cave as you were making the nest. You saw her from far off but didn't know how to approach her. The minute you exited the cave she flew away.

The second must have been what Yajuu called, an Emerald Drake. It had been very big for a drake. And though it was all green it was no less beautiful. You found, just as Yajuu had said, that if you didn't bother the creatures, they didn't harm you either. The drake merely hovered there looking at you, as you stood stock still. Then after satisfying it's curiosity, it flew away.

All these sightings were causing you to be anxious for Yajuu's return. But sure enough you saw her silhouette as the sun set.

"Hey!" You call out as you run towards her. "So what have we got?" you ask as the two of you walk into the cave. She smiles and pulls out a single blue egg.

"I always forget how beautiful they look." Yajuu says looking at the egg. "Quellious' egg was just as big and pretty." you nod.

"The nest is all ready." You say as you walk up to the nest. "All we need is to set the Chesmu egg down in it and it'll be set." Yajuu smiles and sets the egg in the middle of the nest and wraps a silken scarf around it.

"I guess the adventure begins again." She says with a smile.

"Any idea what we're gonna name this one?"

"No idea...Let's sit and think about that for a while. Any suggestions?"

"Well..."

Yajuu was happy all three days. She hovered over the egg just like you knew she would. Not so much as she did with Quellious, possibly because this was her second. Chores were attended to in their own time, and fruits, vegetables and berries were collected for the coming Chesmu. Then it happened. It happened just as the sun was setting.

"Yajuu! It's hatching." You yelled. Yajuu came running and kneeled down by the nest. The egg began to move about and then slowly a little tail popped out. A little green tail. Then the head popped out the other end.

"I told you it'd be green." Yajuu said excitedly. You nod still watching. The little Chesmu took several breaths then pushed the rest of its way out of the egg. Yajuu gathered up the pieces of the egg and wrapped the little Chesmu in the scarf she'd placed around his egg.

"Welcome to the world little fellow." You say happily.

"Now...for a name...How about Brell Serilis?" Yajuu asks.

"...I forget, who is he again?"

"Brell Serilis is the Duke of Below, and the father of all the creatures that reside under ground. This little fellow was born in an cave that's near underground..."

"I see the logic in it."

"Good. We'll call him Brell for short." Yajuu said laying the little Chesmu down.

"Either that egg is very think or these creatures are just very weak."

"Well you can't blame them they're like our infants."

"Guess so. I'd almost forgotten how sleepy they get."

"Yeah. So who's up for the first watch?"

"You, I've been sitting here near three hours. I'll fix all our dinners."

"Alright then."

"Oh by the way, I forgot to ask in all the Chesmu egg excitement. Are you going to get a dragon?"

"They have a clutch ready to go out and all; they just have to make sure they all have good homes."

"Ah. So it's a waiting game again."

"Isn't it always?" Yajuu says with a smile as you turn to fix dinner. Now all you have to do is wait.

"Three days sure go by quickly." you say as you watch little Brell crawl around cooing at the different crystals. You watch as Brell climbs on top of a sleeping Yajuu and stair at her.

"Huh...?" Yajuu says waking up to Brell's face right in hers. She blinks and sighs. "You almost scared me there for a minute." Yajuu says smiling at the little Chesmu. Brell giggles and slides down to the cave floor crawling around again.

"This one isn't half as active as Quellious was." You say observing Brell's gentle curiosity. "Quellious was willing to tear down stuff to find what she was looking for." Yajuu chuckles silently.

"They each have their own personalities."

"I'm just glad the "curious stage" is only three days long." You say watching Brell.

"Brell has a larger attention span." Yajuu says.

"Yeah. Quellious used to finds something, pick it up, chew on it for a while, then throw it away and look for something else." You say with a chuckle.

"Brell can be fascinated going from one crystal to the other for hours..."

"So when are we getting our dragon egg again?" You ask.

"We'll know by Monday. Tuesday at the very latest."

"I see. Well we've got Brell to keep us entertained till then." Yajuu chuckles.

"Isn't that the truth?"

"They grow up so fast." Yajuu said with a sigh as she watched Brell fly around. You chuckle lightly.

"You sound so disappointed."

"Yes and no. I'm glad he's grown so well."

"And I'm glad he's out of his curious stage."

"Oh come on." Yajuu says "He wasn't so bad."

"No I don't suppose he was." You say smiling. Brell swirls around and lands near Yajuu's feet.

"So now what?" the now fully grown Chesmu asks.

"Now we wait and see if we can get a dragon egg. If not we'll start collecting the hoard and you can guard that till we do get a dragon." Yajuu says smiling.

"Sounds fun either way." Brell says smiling.

"Now you must remember to guard the dragon carefully, Brell." You say, kneeling down to the Chesmu's point of view.

"Oh I will. We'll become fast friends I'm sure of it. You'll see."

"I'm sure we will." Yajuu assures.

"Hey, why don't we start looking around for treasures now?" Brell asks.

"I don't see why not." Yajuu says after thinking it over. "But what if notice from the dragon agency comes and we're not here?"

"I'll say, just in case." You volunteer.

"You're sure?" Brell asks.

"Of course. I'm sure you can do a good enough job of treasure hunting without me." You say with a smile.

"Al right then. We'll see you in a little while." Yajuu says taking her backpack onto her back.

"Later."

You sigh as you see the sun rise. Yajuu had left yesterday to see if she could get an egg. Brell and you were just sitting around waiting for her. You'd made sure the nest was ready. You'd done all the chores yesterday. You'd even started gathering extra food early.

"Hey," Brell said picking his head up, "I think I see her." You look out and sure enough you see her figure, walking towards you.

"Well how'd it go?" you ask as soon as Yajuu gets close enough to the cave. Yajuu smiles and sets down her backpack carefully extracting the egg.

"It went." She reports with a smile.

"That's the dragon egg huh?" Brell asks. "It sure is pretty."

"It looks a lot like Xegony's doesn't it?" you say. Yajuu nods.

"It sure does. Come on, let's get it in the nest." Yajuu says as she hefts the egg in her arms. She carries the egg into the nesting room. The large nest is right next to one of the crystals, so there is plenty of light. Setting the egg down in the center, Yajuu arranges the straw around it carefully.

"So now what?" Brell asks, from his spot on the edge of the nest.

"We wait." You and Yajuu say at the same time.

"How long will it take do you think?" Brell asks.

"Some take only one week. Some take two. Xegony took two weeks to hatch." Yajuu informs. Brell nods.

"Ok so now...back to the suspense." You say with a sigh.

"Contain the excitement." Brell says with a giggle.

This time around things were a little different. But just a little. Yajuu doted on the egg-if one can truly dote on an egg-just as much as she had with Xegony. However she did not stay around the egg for endless days doing nothing else.

She did several things in fact. She spruced up the cave, and also found things to put in the new hatchlings hoard, and started piling up food. So really she was very productive and handled the days very well.

It was sun set and only a little over a week since the egg had been given to Yajuu. You, Yajuu, and Brell are sitting by the nest munching when the egg begins to hatch.

"There's shaking in the egg!" Brell exclaims being the first to notice. Both you and Yajuu look up and crawl towards the egg.

"Moment of truth." You say watching. Finally a small white tail burst out of the shell. The tail wiggles back and forth causing the area around it to crumble as well. Yajuu smiles.

"I guess it's safe to assume it's a white." She says.

Finally all the egg breaks away from the hatchling. Yajuu wipes the hatchling down getting what grimy bits of the egg that are left off of her.

"Isn't she gorgeous?" Yajuu asks. "And she's got the prettiest blue eyes."

"She sure does." Brell says peering down from his edge of the nest.

"Hey what should we name her?"

"I've a name in mind. How about Druzzil Ro. After the Matron of the Arts, this one's so beautiful; she's practically a form of art herself."

"It sounds pretty. Just like her." You say.

"Ok." Brell says and glides down sitting next to Druzzil. "You're gonna be Druzzil Ro, ok?" Druzzil's only response was to sit up and peer at him questioningly. After a five second staring contest Druzzil Ro yawned and lay down again.

"I think she like it." Yajuu jokes.

"Gosh but she's grown quickly..." you say as you look at Druzzil Ro. The young Dragon was only a hatchling last week, and now she's a Dragonet. Her body and wings have grown a bit and her eyes have only gotten bluer.

"Yes, well she seems to age somewhat quickly. I've also been making sure her diet is very healthy. Though she doesn't go out much...that could change. She needs exercise." Yajuu says with a sigh.

"Well yes but," Brell says piping up, "she and I explore the caves all the time. She likes looking at the crystal's almost as much as I do!"

"It seems that way." You say.

"Yes...I've noticed also that she's been staying in the deeper parts of the caverns." Brell says.

"I like the steam." Druzzil Ro says somewhat softly.

"Steam?" You ask.

"Yes. You've been watching her while she's napping. During the later hours of the night...or the early hours of the morning for that matter, our little Druzzil Ro goes to the lower parts of the cavern. Down there steam comes up through small cracks in the cave floor and makes it nice and warm. Much like a sauna. "

"Can't say as I blame her. It is getting a bit chilly out." Brell says.

"Yes. Perhaps we should move lower, and farther into the caverns." Yajuu says.

"Yeah!" Druzzil Ro says leaping shallowly about excitedly.

"I don't know how well I could adapt to so much steam..." you say a bit worriedly.

"Yes but the farther you go down the warmer it gets." Yajuu informs. "The closer to God's Sauna the warmer you'll be." She says with a smile.

"God's Sauna? Cute name." You say.

"I like it!" Druzzil Ro chirps.

"Well then why don't was start moving? It'll make more sense to do it now than to have to hurry when it really gets cold." Yajuu says getting up and walking over to Druzzil. "What do you say, Druzzil, Brell?"

"I think it's great! It's far too cold here near the caves mouth." Druzzil Ro says making a pouting face, which Yajuu always finds adorable on her.

"It does sound like a good plan." You say.

"Well then what are we waiting for?" Brell says.

"Indeed what are we waiting for?" Yajuu says as she begins putting things in her back packs to haul away.

"I'm surrounded by spontaneous people...." you say jokingly as you prepare to move you things.

After a while Yajuu stops and deems this deep enough.

"But it's a lot warmer down below here..." Druzzil Ro says.

"I know but that's because there's lava down there." Yajuu replies. "And lava and mortals just don't mix." Druzzil looks a bit disappointed.

"Well, can Brell and I go down there to explore?" Yajuu looks at Brell who doesn't seem to mind and sighs.

"Alright. But I want you guys to be careful. There could be danger down there that we don't yet know about."

"Ok!" Druzzil says happily.

"Don't worry so much Yajuu." Brell says happily. "I'll make sure we are safe." Yajuu smiles sighing.

"I'm sure you will. Dinner will be on in a few hours, so remember."

"OK!" Druzzil Ro yells over her shoulder as she and Brell make their way to the deeper parts of the cave.

"You know they'll be fine..." you say to Yajuu as you continue unpacking.

"Yes, but it doesn't hurt to remind them to be careful."

Another short week has passed yet again. Yajuu walks into the cave placing food where it goes and whatnot. After a while she looks around.

"Where are Brell Serilis and Druzzil Ro?" she asks. You sigh.

"Where they always are."

"...The lava pits again?"

"Something about it fascinates Druzzil. She never gets tired of watching the lava flow."

"Humph. Well, that's all well and good for her, but we hardly ever see her anymore. She's always down at her Lake of Fire, as she calls it." You nod.

"Hey, you wanna tell her she can't go anymore?" Yajuu sighs.

"No. It would be cruel wouldn't it?""What would be cruel?" Druzzil asks as she and Brell enter the cave.

"Telling you that those lava pits occupy too much of your time. What's so fascinating about it anyway?" Yajuu asks.

"Yeah, it's just lava." You say.

"It move like water...yet it's fire. I think such a oxymoron is very fascinating." Druzzil says with a smile.

"...I never thought of it like that...I suppose it is interesting...But still, Druzzil, we hardly ever see you anymore, except at meal times..." at that moment Yajuu caught sight of Brell, who had soot all over him and gasps. "What happened to Brell?!"

"Hehehe...well it was nothing. Just playing tag and you know...things got a little wacky..." Brell says as Druzzil giggles. Yajuu however, not finding anything funny at all about it, put her hands on her hips and merely glared.

"It...wasn't anything serious, Kaa-san. Brell just got a little careless." Druzzil says carefully. "But I caught him with my tail and we took care of each other." She says with a shiny smile.

"I'm outnumbered." Yajuu laments. "Fine, fine, I won't say anything about the lava pits, as long as you keep yourselves out of trouble, and try to be a bit more social."

"Oh that's no problem, Kaa-san, so don't worry." Druzzil says nudging Yajuu affectionately. Yajuu sighs.

"Teenagers..." she mutters out good naturedly.

"Brell, go get Druzzil for us will you?" Yajuu asks. Brell nods and scampers off.

"I still don't understand why she likes it down there so much." You say.

"Well, she is a fire dragon after all." Yajuu says. You nod. Just then you feel the ground rumble slightly as Druzzil walks into the cave. She's grown quite a bit.

"My...what big claws you have.." you joke. Druzzil giggles a bit then looks at Yajuu."

Is there anything you wanted?"

"Yes. It's about your future." Yajuu says. Druzzil becomes solemn.

"What do you mean?"

"Well, we need to consider what to do now...you need a breath weapon that's for sure." Druzzil nods. "But it's all really up to you. Is there anything in particular you want to do?" You blink as you think you see a faint blush tint Druzzil's cheeks.

"Well...what I'd really like...is to have a clutch..."

"...you want a to breed?" Yajuu asks. Druzzil nods.

"I don't know if I'm fit or not...but I think I would like to have a mate and settle..." Yajuu nods looking pensive.

"Well then, we'll head over to the Keltic Isle and while you're applying for your Breath Weapon we can let it be known that you are looking for a mate...I might want to mention that to Xegony as well."

"That would be great. Aunt Xegony and I could apply at the same time." Druzzil says with a shy smile. "I feel as though I haven't seen her in ages..."

"I know. She's been working on her Breath Weapon and trying to please the Elder Dragon Astraeus, who is actually the same Elder dragon you will ask for help, Druzzil." Druzzil brightened.

"Really? Oh that will make things so much better. I always feel better when Aunt Xegony's around." Yajuu smiled

"Why?" You ask.

"Well...she's really tough you know? Not at all as timid as I am. She always looks out for me."

"Makes sense to me." Yajuu said. "But we're burning daylight. Let's head over to Xegony's place and ask her to come along for the ride. Then we can head over to Keltic Isle and Rose Caverns and get all this done."

"Good idea." You say then stop for a minute. "Hey Yajuu?" you ask.

"Hm?"

"What are you going to do? I mean, once Xegony applied for her breath weapon she left...will you do the same with Druzzil Ro?" Yajuu paused for a moment and noticed the curious look Druzzil wore.

"I left Xegony 'cause I knew she no longer needed me. Xegony's always be able to stand on her feet and do her own thing. Druzzil is slightly more insecure...but I think she needs to learn to depend on herself a little more...so I discussed it with Xegony...and decided to build a small house at the edge of both of their territories. That way if they need me I'll be there, but I wont crowd them." Yajuu said with a smile.

"I'm really gonna miss you." Druzzil said a bit sadly.

"You'll be so busy with your breath weapons-and if we're lucky your mate-that you wont even notices. Besides I'll be close and you can always visit as long as you like." Yajuu said with a smile.

"I'll be visiting a lot..." Druzzil mumbled.

"Well, you'd better, or I'll get irritated and lonely." Yajuu said playfully. "We'll always be here for each other." She said seriously but still smiling. "So don't go thinking you can just get rid of me. But enough with all this talk, we're burning daylight, let's get this show on the road."

"Come on Brell," Druzzil said to her small companion, "we're going to Aunt Xegony's then we'll head out to the Rose Caverns...and start a new adventure all over again."
